Wordpress 2.9 beta version is being tested.

Help required with beta testing the new features and ironing out any bugs. Testing process can be done by a number of different ways, like- joining the wp-testers mailing list and/or the Trac ticketing system. In this process, wordPress developers will help people track down issues and get patches committed to fix bugs. There is a plugin called WordPress Beta Tester, is available to download from WordPress Extend or can be installed using the built-in plugin installer. The first beta version of 2.9 may come at end of October and the final release 2.9 build will be available in either late November or early December.
